The event kicked off with a presentation by Ewa on Flowers in Art through the ages – going back to the ancient Egyptians, with their lotus flowers (it was their ‘party drug’!) and travelling on to the creation, a few years ago, of an installation at the MoMA made entirely from hazelnut pollen.
