I have studied life drawing with groups in Aurora and Toronto, plein air painting with the Barrie Art Club, and printmaking at Georgian College and at South Hampton Art School. I also studied with Eric Fischl in Barrie and Sergey Malina in Oak Ridges.

I have won awards in oil figurative and landscape painting and printmaking at Art Aurora and McKay Art Centre in Unionville. I participated in public and juried art shows from York University Galleries, MacLaren Art Gallery and Kempenfest in Barrie, and Sharon Temple and Georgian Art Gallery.

My works are exhibited in private collections in Canada, USA, France, and Israel.

My goal as an artist is to provoke the viewer with strong images, robust colour, and imaginative ideas. I want my images to derive power from being open to interpretation.

My painting style is expressionistic, featuring bold brush strokes and bright colours.

The character of my work is eclectic, including figures, portraits, people in landscapes, animal juxtapositions, and abstractions. I look for the story or the emotion or humour that is portrayed.

I believe in living life to the fullest with tremendous energy! Daily swimming, biking, and hiking. I hope my art incites the viewer with that energy requiring the viewer to question and imagine.
