The event kicked off with a presentation by Ewa on Flowers in Art through the ages – going back to the ancient Egyptians, with their lotus flowers (it was their ‘party drug’!) and travelling on to the creation, a few years ago, of an installation at the MoMA made entirely from hazelnut pollen.
Steeve gave a brief presentation on Flowers in Music, and he was asked why flowers are so rarely evoked in classical music. To know what he said, go read the blog on Musical Flowers!
